“I need to pump in two hours” / “if I nap now I won’t have to nap later but my nap will run into when I need to pump” / “she’s slept for 5+ hours now should I wake her?” / “what if my supply drops?” / “if I don’t start sleep training now will I fuck up her sleep schedule?” / “when did she last eat?” / “do I have enough milk in the fridge” / “other moms seem to have it all together”
The thoughts are constant, let them come, let them go. You’re going to think them but what will actually serve you is acknowledging the thought, acknowledging why it was even a thought, and then giving yourself some love and reassurance that you are a good parent and you are doing great,
